Orynn overview: recovery, sleep, form and today's insight
Why Orynn

No watch measures the part that matters.

Watts, pace, HRV, sleep stages: all measured. Why a good week falls apart isn't in any of it. That sits in your workday, your short night, the heat, your head.

01

Your day never shows up in the data

Your watch sees the session. It doesn't see the twelve hours of work before it, the travel, the pressure. And that's what explains the heavy legs.

02

The analysis always arrives too late

Notes help you weeks later, when you sit down to read them. You need the answer now: go full, or back off.

03

At 6 a.m. it's your call alone

A good coach is irreplaceable, but not standing next to you. They don't know it's 35°C and you slept five hours. And easing off is the hardest decision you'll have to make.

What an entry sounds like

Talk for 45 seconds.
Here's what you get back.

No forms, no sliders, no fields. You talk like you'd talk to a training partner. Orynn turns it into data and puts it next to your Garmin numbers.

The recording stays; so does the transcript. Every value below it can be corrected by hand.

Example recording

Evening report · 21:3400:45

“Okay so, today was honestly a rough one at work — back to back calls, way too much pressure. Did the intervals in the afternoon, six times eight hundred on the track. First three felt fine, but from the fourth one it really started to burn, legs got heavy. I think that was more the day catching up with me than my legs. It’s all logged on Strava anyway. Slept about five hours last night, brain wouldn’t shut off. Physically I’m fine, no knee pain, but mentally I’m pretty wrecked right now.”

Session6× 800 m intervals · track
Sleep≈ 5:00 h · restless
FeelingMentally drained · RPE high from rep 4
ContextStressful workday, back-to-back calls
FlagNo pain signal — knee explicitly fine
Consequence for tomorrow

High mental load despite no physical red flags and short sleep → tomorrow's threshold session stays, but at reduced target intensity with one fewer repetition.

Features

This is where Orynn takes over

01 · Voice diary

You talk for two minutes. Orynn does the writing.

Orynn asks about your night in the morning and your training in the evening. You answer out loud. Orynn writes the entry.

Sleep, HRV, feeling, niggles and session details from one recording
German and English, spoken naturally — no keywords to memorise
Every entry stays editable as plain text
Diary with morning and evening report
02 · Training plan

Five hours of sleep? The plan already adjusted.

Periodised into base, build, peak and taper. The next two weeks are set, with watts, pace and CSS. If your night says otherwise, Orynn changes them that morning.

Low HRV or short sleep trims today's targets, with the reason shown
Say “I’m travelling Tuesday to Thursday” and the week is rebuilt around the key session
Load view: bar height is training load, brightness is intensity zone
Weekly analysis and training load
03 · Coach

Ask someone who knows your last six months

Every entry, every session, every night is there in the conversation. You don't get generic advice back. You get an answer with your numbers in it.

“Why was Saturday so bad?” — answered from your own data
Weekly analysis and trainer reports you can hand to a real coach
Coaching philosophy is a setting, not a fixed personality
Coach chat
04 · Nutrition

Your training is sorted. What about your food?

Suggestions built around tomorrow's session and your own nutrition profile — with a shopping list that stays in sync.

Carb load before key sessions, protein focus on recovery days
Allergies and preferences held in one profile
Biological age and long-term trends as the slow feedback loop
Biological age
How it works

Set it up once, then you're done

1

Connect your wearable

Garmin, Strava or Apple Health. Sleep, HRV, sessions and resting heart rate flow in overnight — nothing to enter twice.

2

Talk twice a day

Morning: how the night went. Evening: how training went. Under a minute each, and the diary is complete.

3

Understand your day

One sentence each morning telling you what today's session should be, and why. Everything behind it is one tap away.

Data sources

The numbers are already on your wrist

Nothing new to buy, no second device. Orynn takes what your watch already records and adds the part it cannot measure.

Garmin ConnectStravaApple HealthWhoop · plannedPolar · plannedOura · planned
HRVnightly, against your own baseline
Sleepduration, stages, sleep score
LoadTSS-faithful, form as TSB, ACWR ratio
Sessionsduration, watts, pace, RPE, feel

A wearable helps, but isn't required. Without one, you just talk through more detail yourself — Orynn still works.

Privacy

Your diary is not training material

You tell Orynn things you'd never type into an app: how you slept, how much pressure you're under, how you're really doing. So here are four commitments.

Hosted in Germany

Servers in Germany, GDPR-compliant, no transfer to third-party advertising networks.

No model training on your data

Recordings and entries are used to answer you, not to train anything. They are never sold.

Export whenever you want

Full export of every entry and metric as JSON and CSV. It is your log, in a format you can keep.

Delete means delete

One action deletes the account and every recording with it, permanently and without a waiting period.

FAQ

What you're probably wondering

Is Orynn only for triathletes?

No. It was built for triathlon because that's the hardest case — three disciplines, more sessions, more ways to get your load wrong. Runners and cyclists use the same loop with fewer disciplines.

Does it replace my coach?

No. It replaces the notebook between you and your coach. The coach report exports what you told Orynn over the week — the conversation starts from data, not memory.

Do I have to speak? Can I type?

Voice is the fast path, not the only one. Every entry is editable text — you can type it instead.

Which languages does it understand?

German, English, and Spanish, spoken naturally — dialects and mixed sentences included. The interface follows your device language, also available in all three.

Is it in the App Store?

Not yet — but Orynn already runs on iPhone two ways. First, as an installable web app: open orynn.app in Safari and add it to your home screen, and it behaves like a native app. Second, as a real iPhone app through TestFlight. TestFlight is Apple’s official app for letting people test apps before they reach the store: you get an invitation by email, install TestFlight for free from the App Store, and install Orynn through it. On Android the same route works through Chrome: open orynn.app and add it to your home screen. The regular store release follows after the beta.

What happens to my recordings?

They're transcribed, turned into an entry, and stored on German servers. They're never sold, never used for model training, and deleted with your account.

How do I get a beta place?

Sign up via the button at the top of the page.

Does it work without a wearable?

Yes, but then more data needs to be spoken in manually.

About

I had exactly your problem

photo of Arthur

I didn't build Orynn as a startup idea. I built it because I was breaking down.

I'm an age-group triathlete (middle distance) with a demanding sales job, ~8 sessions a week, and never enough sleep. Last year I trained harder than ever and went backwards — constantly tired, stalling, and eventually a torn muscle.

The strange part? I was ‘checking everything.’ A coach. A physio. Mountains of Garmin data. But two things were missing: my nutrition was a blind spot (far too carb-heavy, too little protein), and nothing connected my training to my actual life. Was the day stressful? A brutal work day? No wearable ever asked.

So I journaled, then fed it to ChatGPT for trends. Useful, but always retrospective — never a call for today. My coach is brilliant, but she can't know it's 35°C in Madrid, I slept badly and had a long day and that maybe today is 85%, not 110%. As a triathlete, holding back is the hardest skill there is.

So I built the tool I needed: talk about your day, and Orynn turns training, sleep, HRV and daily life into one clear call each morning. I'm building it in the open.

Stop guessing what's holding your training back. Start understanding it.

The beta is small. Tell me what you're training for and you'll get a spot.

Which device do you use?

No newsletter. One email when your place is ready.
